Clonee Utd in the Community

Attention, open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Going back over the years through many and various meetings with local representatives, developers, Fingal Co. Council, school principals and even farmers, Clonee United F.C. tried to negotiate for improved sports facilities in the area where the club could provide training and coaching to local children and young people.

Through the dark and dismal nights of November and December last year, plans & negotiations were afoot to bring all Clonee United F.C. training into the local area and reduce the amount of travel on parents and players and stop the rush home from work in heavy traffic only to have to go back out to training at 6.00pm.

These plans have now come to fruition and all Clonee United F.C. teams will train in the new Phibblestown Community Facility right in the middle of our community. These facilities are brand new, state of the art and fully equipped. This is a real step forward for the club and it is steps like these that we hope will help the club to grow and become the club the local community deserves.

We extend a sincere and warm thank you to all the staff and management at The Dunboyne Community Centre who have been more than accommodating to our club over the last number of years.
